About Symmetry Prosthetics

Symmetry offers the latest technology in prosthetic fittings adjustments and rehabilitation. Partnered with Southern Bone & Joint Specialists, a renowned southeastern regional orthopaedic care center, Symmetry started with an inspired idea that is now revolutionizing the way prostheses are worn. Frustrated with the continued difficulties faced by a longtime elderly patient, Symmetry founder and president Rick Scussel worked tirelessly, using his 20 years of experience to develop a radical new liner system that would allow greater stability, range of motion, and eliminate skin breakdown, ultimately increasing comfort and mobility. After extensive testing and continued success with patients of varying ages and activity levels, the Symmetry prosthetic socket and liner system is now bringing balance to the lives of amputees around the country.

The transition to life with a prosthetic limb is a challenging process, and it takes time. Comfort and proper fit are key components in that process, and the Symmetry system provides both. Currently suitable for lower extremity amputations, this system's socket wall is much lower than conventional prostheses, allowing for more comfort and a broader spectrum of maneuverability for patients of all ages.
