• How did you become an amputee and how has Symmetry helped make your life better?

I just became a RBK amputee in January of 2005 after many failed surgerys on my ankle. It was elective with no regrets. In May of 2008 my BK Prosthetic fell off while walking, causing me to fall on my Right knee, exploding the knee in 3 directions and fracturing the distal end of the femur beyond repair, resulting in right AK Amputation. I have tried using a couple of different types of prosthesis, and they always were hard to get on and twisted whenever I sat down. The leg was troublesome and therefore I did not wear it much and spent most of my time in a wheelchair. Having the Symmetry Prosthesis has already began to change my life one step at a time. Once I get the C-Leg going I'll be on my way to a new independent way and go back to work!



• How did you hear about Symmetry Prosthetics?

Read an article in ACA about another client that has the product and it has changed his life and wanted to get more information about it.
Went to the ACA Conference this past June 09 and found the booth from Symmetry. Was very fascinated with the product. They showed and explained the product to me.



• What do you like better about you Symmetry Prosthesis opposed to any other you've had?

Very easy to put on. No Twisting or having to re adjust everytime I get up or down. It is one with me!!!

• How did you become an amputee and how has Symmetry helped make your life better?

I can stand and sit for hours longer then I could before, as pain would make either impossible after 2 hours due to extreme discomfort.



• What do you like better about you Symmetry Prosthesis opposed to any other you've had?

The fact that the lower back pain and pain coming down legs is greatly diminished providing longer stand and sit times.

No Liner to loose suction or get holes in.

My leg from Symmetry has changed my life. I have been an amputee since 1998 and have tried multiple systems that were messy and the hold was less than adequate. With my Symmetry system i have a tight fit without the twisting and turning of the past and no messy lotions to worry about. The leg is easy and comfortable to wear wheather I am riding my four wheeler or walking in the park. With my active life I need a leg that is strong and mobile and that is what i get from Symmetry system.
